I can't believe that we are approaching the final 48 hours of the campaign! It has been such a thrilling ride and I am so grateful to every one of you who has supported this campaign and this dream of mine.
I am so pleased with the campaign. In fact, I decided to do a flash goal and offer a
FREE Gilded Dragon postcard to the first 300 backers
when we hit $9500! I loved the way the pins looked together so much; I went ahead and printed a postcard with all of them on it!
I have also been thinking long and hard about the last two stretch goals as we enter the final days of the campaign. I really want them both to unlock, and if the campaign strikes a typical trajectory, we should definitely
unlock the 3D limited Edition pin at $10,000. However, we still need 75 new backers to unlock the Golden Glitter Guardian pin. And who knows where that will land us in terms of funds?
So, I thought, why don't I
unlock the design at 250 backers, but only offer it for
FREE to 3+ tiers at 300? That way we can unlock ALL the stretch goals and dragons! And there is still a chance at 3+ tiers getting it FREE when we get enough backers in these final hours!
This means we are

Greetings Hoarders,
Thank you, everyone who came and stopped by the livestream today. ^_^ I wish I could say it was a
huge success, but unfortunately my computer didn't exactly play along very well with twitch. Photoshop kept crashing and lagging as I tried to draw the dragon. But that is ok! It is all about the experience of stretching my comfort level, and learning how to engage, and on that front, I will call it a huge success! ^_^
So, if you missed the livestream, feel free to comment and chat with me in this update instead! I ended up finishing the dragon after the livestream, and here are the results (Livestream made it to step 4...):
So what do you think? These steps will be included in the art book as well as a little writeup of what I did. It's a lot of fun seeing the art come to life. But there were definitely moments I doubted myself and questioned if this would turn out good or if I would end up scrapping the dragon altogether ^_^ I am glad I pushed through. I think this little guy would make a cute pin in the Gilded Dragons Volume 2 campaign!
I also wanted to share with you guys the banner I made with all the unlocked dragon designs so far!
I think these look so good together! And I can't wait to display them in my Dragon's Lair (Aka office/art room/library)

You did it! You unlocked the book wyrm!!! It's time to bring out the glitter and toss the paper confetti ^_^
You guys are amazing! And we still have 5 days left in the campaign!!! We have two more stretch goals, and we aren't that far off from unlocking either of them! Both the Golden glitter Guardian mini pin and Golden 3D Limited Edition Scorpio Dragon are within our reach! And as we enter the final days of the campaign it will be a nail biter on when we unlock them!
While we wait for these dragons to join the hoard, I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the Gilded Dragon hardcover art book as it is very dear to my heart.
My entire life I have dreamt of one day making my own art book, and last year I finially released the Gilded Dragons in softcover through a Kickstarter Campaign (Though it originally started out as just an art zine!). Since then I have not only created more dragon art, but I have learned so much about art books and printing (especially how much I personally LOVE hardcover art books), that I felt finally ready to re-release the Gilded Dragon art book as a hardcover.
Initially it was simply going to be the same book as a signed/numbered hardcover edition since I never released it in hardcover before. But as the campaign progressed the book wyrm was born. And it inpired me to take another look at the hardcover.
So not only will the hardcover have brand new cover art and be signed & numbered, it will have brand new interior content!
If there is one thing I should have anticipated, it's that when I have a positive experience during a campaign, it fuels my Muse and gives me boundless energy to create more art! So other than including just the dragon art I have created since last year, I am going to create 3 more dragons for the interior! And while I finish these illustrations I will also document my process to add it as content to the books!
Each page of the finished illustration is a full page art piece, because I believe the best way to celebrate art is to show it as big as possible.
The artbook has grown by at least 8-12 pages already of brand new content! The only way to get a numbered copy of my artbooks are through my campaigns. And the ONLY way to get signed copies are through campaigns and in person events! But as the campaign is drawing to an end, I thought, why not credit those who support this artbook in its first stages by adding a thank you credit page to anyone who buys a copy during the campaign! So, if we hit ten hardcover sales during the campaign, I will add an extra thank you page with those backers' names! (They will choose which name to credit in the surveys)

Greetings Hoarders,
Wow, I can't believe we are in the final week of the campaign. It feels surreal how far we have come. And as I write this, we are less than $225 away from unlocking the book wyrm!
That means we need less than 9 more backers to welcome this little guy to the hoard!
I'm not going to lie, he's definitely one of my personal favourites. But then I think that with every new dragon we unlock. 😅
Since we have unlocked 8 designs so far, and it's likely been a while since many of you may have looked at the story page, I thought I'd take this opportunity to highlight the unlocked dragons and their special features. From glitter to pearl to stained glass (transparent) and glow in the dark. Each dragon has a personality of its own.
There's also few things I wanted to touch base on that has happened/changed since the start of the campaign.
Digital "signatures"
All pins will now come with an engraving on the backs of the pins.
When I started this campaign, I didn't even consider it as an upgrade. But then I discovered that it's possible to counterfeit my pins. (Unfortunately art theft is a thing) This made me think long and hard about this upgrade. Because I know that as a collector myself, knowing the authenticity of my collections is important. So, I decided to add it to all my pins. That way you will be able to prove the authenticity of my pins. I think of it as adding my personal signature. Like signing an art print or book.
Most of the pins will have the moon dragon logo. But due to some pin sizes/shapes it might just be text with my website or name. Note, the limited edition moon dragon, and mechanical dragons won't have this as I had already ordered them before I made this decision. But I am working on something for the limited edition pins which I will hopefully be able to announce next update.
In the meantime:

Below I will highlight the extra awesome features of each of the unlocked dragons. Most are between 1-1.5" inches, and wherever possible I am adding 2 metal/butterfly clutches for added security.
I can't wait to see all these pins together! And the fact we have come this far has far exceeded my every expectation! So thank you for your support! 💞 And for helping me make this the most incredible campaign I have ever run!

Greetings hoarders & dragons,
(oops! I sent the update without the content >.< Please forgive me for infiltrating your treasured inbox twice today!) I have so many exciting things to share today!
The first, most exciting thing (for me) is my brand new cover art for the hardcover! Introducing the gilded book wyrm cover art.
To say I am excited about this cover is an understatement.
I love it so much! It is the first of several brand new updates to the hardcover I am making. And truly, this would likely never have happened if not for the amazing people who had joind me last Saturday for my first livestream on here!
So other than a brand new look, the art book will have new interior art inside. Not one, not two, but at least 3! One, which I have only sketched so far! Since many of you voted as undesicively as I was about including both book wyrms in the book, I did just that. The colourful one will be the cover, and the golden one will be in the interior. I am also adding my Goddess of Death, from my novel, with her skeleton dragon to the art book. And finally I will try to finish at least one more of my sketches and add it. Starting with my bee-dragons.
Depending on how busy I get over the next few weeks, I also decided that I will add some new content while I am at it. The book consists of entirely full page art spreads. It's an artbook afterall! But, I thought it might be nice to add some WIP pages and other content at the end of the book. So the hardcover will be what I always dreamt an art book would be.
With all these updates added to the hardcover artbook, the last few copies of my first edition softcover will become even more rare as well. I only have ten copies left. Which will make these a rare collector's item in it's own way.
Now onto shiny pins, the reason most of you are here. (Though I hope that you enjoy seeing the art and behind the process of what goes into making everything as well!)
Revealing the Book Wyrm mock up! I decided to add some glitter to the middle book, because you can't go wrong with sparkle. And seeing it, I REALLY want to unlock it! Which is why I made the stretch goal $8500 instead of $9000 as I probably should have.
Which means we are super close to unlocking it too ^_^ And I am certain that by the time we hit the final 48 hour rush of pledges it will unlock if not sooner.
DREAM STRETCH GOALS:
It is unlikely we will hit them by tomorrow. Though still not impossible to hit these by the end of the campaign.
But...there is something I need to share with you guys. The 3D mock ups for the Guardian came back...and...I don't love it. The design just didn't feel right as a 3D pin, even after trying to tweak it. So, I asked my manufacturer to make a Golden glitter with black metal pin instead. And I LOVE it so much!
In fact, I thought that since I won't make it as a 3D pin, if we unlock this one at 300 backers, I will add it for FREE to all tiers with 3+ pins! I believe that the black and gold glitter pin retains the true essence of the art the best. Plus, if you are in the 3+ pin tiers and backed both me and my collab partner's campaign, that is FIVE pins for the price of 3 once we unlock this one! (SIX if you were one of the first 25 in those tiers as you also get the year of the dragon pin!) And yes, add-ons count towards this count for those of you who backed the limited edition moon dragon tiers or art book.
But fear not if you had your sights set on a 3D limited edition pin. I am still in LOVE with the scorpio 3D pin. His design definitely lends itself more to the 3D pin. So, once we hit $10,000 he will unlock as the Limited Edition pin for the campaign.
Needless to say, I want BOTH of these pins to unlock. And we aren't that far off. The campaign has been steadily growing, albeit at a snail's pace with a few peaks and valleys these past few days. And we are finally at $7500 and almost 200 backers. Which means that we are less than 2/3 of the way to unlocking the golden glitter dragon, and only $2500 away from unlocking the limited edition 3D pin!
In fact, I just made the updated banner with the new dragons (minus the limited edition pins) and look at how gorgeous this hoard will look together ♥. I know I can't wait to get my hands on each and every one of these pins! This truly is a dream come true!
